Garden furniture covers — is it worth it and how much do they cost?

This is one of those little things that are easiest to forget when buying garden furniture, and its absence can shorten the lifespan of even the best-made furniture by several seasons. We are talking about a protective cover! Before you skip it during checkout to "save money," let's check what it really protects and how much it costs.

Why do you even need a protective cover?

• Protects against UV radiation — even fabrics with OEKO-TEX certification and high

fade resistance eventually lose color intensity with constant exposure to

the sun. A cover slows down this process when you are not using the furniture.

• Protects against rain and moisture — this is especially important for solid wood elements, which are best kept away from prolonged contact with water.

• Saves you cleaning at the start of the season — no dust, pollen, or bird droppings that settle on furniture left uncovered all winter long.

How much does a good protective cover cost?

For us, a waterproof protective cover is an optional add-on visible directly on the product

page — for our "Green it up" garden sofa, it costs 150 PLN. For comparison, at some stores selling premium garden furniture, the same type of accessory (a cover for a large corner set) costs as much as 900-1000 PLN. That is a significant difference for the exact same basic protective function.

This difference does not mean our cover is of lower quality — it is a conscious decision to make protecting your furniture an add-on you will actually choose, rather than a cost that discourages protection.

How to care for the cover so it lasts as long as possible

• Clean regularly with a soft brush or a damp cloth with a mild detergent.

• Fabric covers can be washed according to the instructions on the label.

• Store in a dry, well-ventilated place when not in use for an extended period — do not leave a folded, damp cover on the furniture!

Cushion covers made of polyester fabrics can usually be washed according to the label instructions — the protective cover for the entire set is usually cleaned wet, without a washing machine.

Does the cover fit every set?

The covers are tailored to specific furniture models and sizes, so you don't have to worry about improper protection of the furniture from external factors.
